chevrolet silverado

chevy.pngNearly 900,000 Chevrolet Silverados and GMC Sierra pickup trucks are being recalled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for faulty tailgate cables that can deteriorate from corrosion. All of the affected models were from the 1999 - 2000 model year.

The NHTSA is afraid that a faulty tailgate cable could break under heavy load causing the contents of the pickup bed to break loose from the truck. In 2004 GM recalled 2000 - 2004 models for the same problem.
