« Chevrolet Silverados and GMC Silverados being recalled by NHTSA | Main | Toyota Camry to be produced by Subaru in Indiana »

We all love cars and having to fix your vehicle is just part of the automotive experience but when the repair process goes bad it's can really leave you feeling like giving up and buying a bus ticket. Gear6 wants to hear your repair story nightmare, this is your chance to let the world know how you've been shafted!

My personal repair nightmare started 9 weeks ago when I took my recently bought Audi Certified Preowned S4 in to the local Audi dealer because it was making a strange noise in the front passenger side wheel. I won't bore you with the details, I'm sure your stories are more interesting, but after 4 weeks the cars was in no better shape then when I brought it in.

A quick call to Audi of America to let them know what was happening and the dealer was persuaded to get to the bottom of the issue which still took another 5 weeks to sort out! I finally have my car back and Audi even covered my payments while it was in the shop. The snow has now melted and summer is just around the corner, life is good again.

An endless journey with my Mercedes E-Class which was, apparently, born with a defective electrical system. All expenses covered (not without a little arguing) and car sold after one year. I bought another one and all is fine now.

don't forget, some of us work on the other side of the counter! while much of the rep the industry has is well earned, there are an awful lot of really stunned consumers!

My wife's 4-year-old A4 also started making a "buzzing noise" from the front passenger side. We thought it might be the gears or something; it took about 4 months to go from something heard at high speed to something you couldn't miss. Louder when the wheel was tweaked...

The sales mgr thought it might be the steering pump - but it turned out to be the front right wheel bearing(!). Even though it was just out of warranty when they found it, Audi covered the cost.
