Volkswagen unsure of GX3's future

The Volkswagen GX3 car-motorcycle roadster which debuted earlier this year at the LA auto show to critical praise and astonishment that VW might actually build such a wild ride. Volkswagen was quick to say at the auto show that they would likely build the GX3 roadster but they now seem unsure what to do.
VW is now considering creating an off shoot brand to sell the $15,000 GX3 roadster in the United States. Volkswagen is concerned about the safety of the GX3 and the public image that it might portray on the company according to a new report. This would most likely mean that the GX3 wouldn't be sold in regular VW dealerships.
One skeptical VW executive was quoted as saying "It's nice to be able to use the car-pool lane, but it's not so nice to have to wear a helmet, to be exposed to exhaust fumes and flying objects, and to sit so low that towering SUVs and big rigs pose a physical threat. I am not sure if we have thought this one through all the way."

Just add a roll cage and small windshield. Its still safer and more useful than a motor bike...
